stripping...down...

After discussing my ideas with my group in a seminar the response was positive. My peers and tutor had seen my work develop and I think they, just as I was, were surprised to see that what I had intended to build was possible. I made a plan to demonstrate what the installation will look like in the gallery:



From this plan however we began to notice weaknesses within my design, it was too big, too clunky, rigid and closed in. This problem mainly stemmed from the side panels and the fact that they boxed in the viewer, restricting possible views from other spectators from the side. As soon as people pointed out this weakness I understood how I could solve it and began to draw new designs which would keep the overall structure less enclosed, more open and making it easier to view:
