I have chosen to see what happens when I edit my images responding to their visual nature. These images have had a certain amount of cropping, layering, and general putting-together treatment and this really gives them a new identity. Working with the lines colors and shapes does in a way give a more aesthetically sensible result however it does not align with my conceptual intentions of the project. No longer is there as much evidence of my movement through the spaces and the physical overlapping of times presence on top of the images. However the biggest aspect of the images which puts me off is how they do not respond to the natural IN CAMERA treatment of the images that have existed in all of my other shoots. The Kodak brownie has given my images an authentic element which exists only because of its simple nature, by applying digital post-production to the photographs I am distancing them away from a more accurate representation of reality; THEY BECOME THE UNREAL.
